We are looking to recruit a Trainee Payroll Administrator to work in our payroll bureau, GH Payscheme, which operates from our Biggleswade office.

The successful candidate will join our established payroll team, who provide outsourced payroll services to clients across a wide range of industry sectors, to support the smooth and accurate delivery of our payroll function.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager the work is varied and includes:

  • Preparation of client payrolls
  • Correspondence and communication with HMRC and Pension organisations
  • Assistance with the administration function of the department

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have good numeracy, attention to detail, organisational, communication and IT skills
  • Must be able to work well as part of a busy team
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Candidates should possess or expect to obtain at least 2 ‘A’ levels at grade A – C or have excellent GCSE results.

Job Title: Audit & Accounts Partner (with or working towards RI status)

Role Purpose: Lead and grow an accounts portfolio within a well-established accountancy practice. Provide technical oversight, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to business strategy and client growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee preparation of financial accounts (limited companies, partnerships, sole traders) ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide strategic business advisory services; identify opportunities for improving clients’ financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships; identify new business opportunities for the firm.
  • Lead business development, generating new connections
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of auditors/accountants.
  • Collaborate with other Partners to shape firm strategy and growth.
  • Prepare/review audit and accounts reports; ensure accuracy, timeliness and adherence to deadlines.

Non Negotiable requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified
  • Relevant experience 5+ years post qual in both accounts and audit
  • Experiencing leading and managing a team

  • Interest in presenting/ involvement with UK200 panels
